Background Reports

What is a Background Report?

A Background Report is a detailed report on an individual using public data sources. It gives you information about where a person has lived, personal indicators about the individual, property information, and companies house information. The sources used will depend on the individual.

Who can I order a Background Report for?

You can purchase a Background Report for a person if they are listed on the 192.com website. That means they have an address in the UK and are over the age of 18. You can search for them on the Background Report page.

Why would I order a Background report?

Many people use Background Reports when they are entering into a contract with someone. That could be as simple as employing a babysitter or tradesman, or as complex as going into business with someone. Background Reports are especially popular with people who are using the internet to find a new partner and want to ensure they can trust what the person at the other end of an email is saying to them before they meet face-to-face.

How much does a Background Report cost?

Each Background Report will cost £15.99 + VAT. You can choose to pay for these using a credit or debit card online, or via paypal.

I ordered a Background Report and it hasn't told me anything new

Background Reports for some individuals may appear empty, but in many cases, that is good news. For example, an individual who is not insolvent, does not have CCJs and has not been disqualified as a director, may be the type of person you would like to go into business with.
